Aimsir, our elegant two-Michelin starred restaurant at Cliff at Lyons, opens Aimsir Lounge from July 1st, the chic bar with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the beautiful gardens opens from 3pm, Wednesday to Saturday, and from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays, Aimsir Lounge is a unique opportunity to experience some of the magic of Aimsir in the lush countryside setting of Cliff at Lyons.
Chef Jordan Bailey’s clever and delicious menu of snacks and bites will change regularly, according to what’s growing on-site and available from Aimsir’s exceptional family of Irish suppliers.
The heart of what Aimsir does is to champion the very best of what Ireland has to offer, so to accompany the Aimsir Lounge snacks selection enjoy one of mixologist Rose’s signature all-Irish cocktails, showcasing the versatility, creativity and, above all, quality of drinks produced on the island.
On leisurely Sunday afternoons, when Aimsir itself is closed, we will serve a more elaborate set menu plus the option to order an additional à la carte option from the grill, for example lobster, bone marrow, fish or Dexter beef, depending on what’s available.
On Sunday the drinks offering will shift too, when sommelier and Aimsir’s front of house manager Majken Bech-Bailey will focus exclusively on wine and Champagne, by the bottle or by the glass, and each week the theme will change to suit the weather, the food or occasion.
Both the snacks and the Sunday menus will change daily or weekly but the blueprint will stay the same — garden treats, house made breads or crackers and charcuterie with foraged pickles and preserves and excellent Irish cheese for €18.50 from Wednesday to Saturday, and a set menu of seasonal Irish plates with the option to order from the wood-fired grill on Sundays for €45.
