St. Patrick’s Day with yoga teacher Lou Horgan
A two-day women’s wellness retreat at Cliff at Lyons, the hotel and countryside retreat set in the lush green countryside of Kildare, step out of the everyday on Monday March 16th, arriving to check in in time to meet Lou Horgan at 3 p.m., your yoga teacher throughout the retreat. The first yoga class begins at 4 p.m. in the high-ceilinged hall of Shackleton Mill, right beside the millrace with its soothing sounds of water falling.
With warm lavender towels and light refreshments, ease into a two-hour yoga flow session led by Lou, followed by some quality me-time to walk along the canal, explore the peaceful grounds of this handsome restored eighteenth century village, or avail of your complimentary 45-minute treatment in the award-winning The Well in the Garden spa, the luxurious two-storey spa in the beautifully restored cut-stone carriage house on the grounds.
Dinner at 7 p.m. features the freshest of produce from the Cliff at Lyons kitchen garden, before a good night’s sleep in your room.
On Tuesday morning join Lou and the other guests for a morning yoga session, with the stress-reducing soundtrack of the water falling beyond the picture windows in Shackleton Mill. After your hour and a half yoga session, replenish with a delicious breakfast including a selection of fresh juices, fruit, yoghurt and CLIFF honey as well as a freshly cooked option of your choice.
If you haven’t already availed of your 45-minute complimentary treatment in The Well in the Garden, enjoy that as the perfect way to complete your two-day retreat.
With a one-night stay, two yoga sessions with Lou Horgan, a 45-minute treatment, breakfast and one evening meal, Spring Awakening at Cliff at Lyons is available for €205 per person sharing either a twin room or a cottage, or €265 for single room.
