Celebrate Nollaig na mBan this January with a wellness retreat
Recharge your batteries this New Year over Nollaig na mBan weekend, with a specially curated wellness retreat designed and delivered by renowned yoga teacher Lou Horgan. Prepare to unwind, relax and restore in serene surroundings with two days of yoga, massage and relaxation led by Lou, as well as delicious, flavour-led seasonal and healthy menus designed by Head Chef Nathan Dimond.
Arrive to a welcome of warm lavender-scented towels on Saturday 5th of January and enjoy a garden salad lunch in Trellis café, before taking some time before check-in to walk along the canal, or explore the peaceful grounds. At 3p.m. meet Lou Horgan, your yoga teacher throughout the retreat, who will talk through the programme before the first yoga class begins at 4 p.m. in the high-ceilinged hall of Shackleton Mill, right beside the millrace with its soothing sounds of water falling.

Nollaig na mBan is a day designated for celebrating women, so it’s the perfect day to begin spending some time on yourself, with Lou as your expert guide through your first yoga flow sequence. Dinner in The Orangery features the freshest of produce from the kitchen garden, before a good night’s sleep in your deluxe room.
On Sunday morning join Lou and the other guests for a morning yoga session, with the stress-reducing soundtrack of the water falling outside the windows in Shackleton Mill. After your yoga session, replenish with a delicious breakfast including a selection of fresh juices, fruit, yoghurt and CLIFF honey as well as a freshly cooked option of your choice.
This package also includes a 45-minute hot stone chakra massage at our award-winning The Well in the Garden spa, set in the beautifully restored carriage house. This unique treatment combines manual and hot volcanic basalt stone massage, designed to balance your energy and encourage deep relaxation – the perfect way to end your retreat.
This package is available on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th January 2019 and includes a one-night stay including breakfast, two yoga sessions with Lou Horgan, breakfast, lunch and one evening meal.
