Discover Cliff at Lyons: Your gateway to Irish hospitality
Welcome to Cliff at Lyons, where Irish lineage and contemporary luxury converge to offer you a truly unforgettable experience. Nestled within a picturesque demesne dating back to the 18th century, our estate boasts a rich lineage that immerses visitors in the charm and character of Ireland’s past.
The main mansion at Cliff at Lyons was constructed in 1797 by Nicholas Lawless, the inaugural Lord of Cloncurry. The present-day 16-acre retreat encompasses buildings that once comprised a quaint village in the 1820s, which featured a mill, the Jolly Angler’s Inn, a hotel, and even a Church of Ireland boarding school.
In 1996, the renovation journey of Lyons Demesne and ‘The Village’ commenced under the ownership of Tony Ryan, the co-founder of Ryanair. Acquired by CLIFF in 2016, Cliff at Lyons has since become synonymous with opulent getaways, offering rejuvenating wellness therapies and culinary delights. As a proud member of Ireland’s Blue Book, the property prides itself on delivering an authentic Irish countryside experience. It complements our esteemed five-star, seaside sister property, Cliff House Hotel, nestled on the shores of the Atlantic in County Waterford.
