HOTEL AND COUNTRY RETREAT
Cliff at Lyons is a privately owned luxury hotel occupying an unusual collection of historic rose-clad buildings, including a mill and former dovecote, in rural Kildare a 30-minute drive from Dublin. This is a hotel and country retreat with 32 bedrooms spread out across rooms, apartments and cottages. Cliff at Lyons is home to two-Michelin star Aimsir and the multi award winning The Well in The Garden spa.
The Well in the Garden is a luxury award-winning spa set in the beautifully restored Carriage House building. Signature treatments include Peat for the Feet, Hug of the Hands Massage and a Hot Towel Head & Scalp Ritual. Our team at The Well in The Garden were delighted to receive the award for ‘Most Innovative Spa Brand‘ for The Well at CLIFF at the Image Business of Beauty Awards 2019.
With 40 rooms spread out in eight separate lockyard buildings and cottages, Cliff at Lyons is ideal for exclusive-use events, from corporate meetings to team-building exercises. It is also perfect for weddings. Our sprawling, open lawns accommodate parties of up to 120 people without a sense of crowding, whilst enclosed gardens and intimate spaces dotted across the estate are ideal for smaller groups. The 22 seat chapel is a particularly picturesque setting for a wedding blessing. Our chefs can cater for a diverse range of tastes and preferences among large groups.
Just over four short months after opening, Aimsir were awarded not one, but two Michelin stars for their ground-breaking restaurant which opened in May in the stunning setting of Cliff at Lyons. Aimsir is led by Cornwall-born chef Jordan Bailey, former head chef at 3-star Michelin Maaemo in Oslo, and his Danish front of house manager and wife Majken Bech-Bailey, who honed her front of house skills at 2-star Michelin Henne Kirkeby Kro.
As much as possible, everything served in Aimsir is grown or produced on the island of Ireland. An all-island restaurant, the best producers and growers from all over Ireland have been invited to be part of this new celebration of the most powerful, significant and influential force in this country – the weather.
